We are delighted to announce Woodwork for Install with Peter Glasgow. This training will take the form of a workshop in CCA, 10-12 Artillery Street, BT48 6RG, on Tuesday 15 October 2024, 1pm–3pm.Peter will be approaching Woodwork for Install from the position of an artist who has picked up woodworking skills and techniques in order to install his own work and others. No prior woodworking experience is necessary. The workshop will cover:
~ Essential tools; from basic hand tools to affordable power tools.
~ Guide to building materials and how to choose and buy them including sheet materials and machined softwood.
~ Safe handling of tools and materials.
~ Basic construction skills such as cutting and joining.
~ Building essential install items such as shelves, plinths, tables and screens.
~ Guide to filling holes and joins and finishing, priming and painting.
