Participants in this training will discover that free play is the engine of early learning. They will learn how they can amplify the children's free play experiences by designing environments, observing learning, and offering just-right support.
Training Objectives:
1 . By the end of this session, the learner will be able to share three examples of free play supporting language, self-regulation, social skills, math/science, or creativity.
2 . By the end of this session, the learner will observe a child to create a short learning story.
3 . By the end of this session, the learner will convert lines from teacher directed to child led scaffolds.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-0100
