Event Description:

Join us for an insightful and interactive session designed for parents and caregivers of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This event is hosted by SENS Hub and features Dr Sirja van Zyl , a distinguished Clinical Psychologist and joint director of Kent Psychologist in Tonbridge.

<h4>Event Structure:</h4>
  • First Half: Expert Guidance Sirja will provide guidance on supporting good mental health for young people with ASD and ADHD. She will cover crucial topics such as managing anxiety and low moods, identifying signs of mental health issues, and implementing effective strategies to support your child's well-being.
  • Second Half: Ask Anything This session will be an open forum where you can ask Sirja your questions. We encourage parental input from others on the practical ways they have supported in similar circumstances.

About Dr Sirja van Zyl:

Sirja is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children and young people. As the joint director of Kent Psychologist in Tonbridge, she specializes in the assessment of autism, ADHD, and tic disorders. Sirja has extensive experience from her tenure in NHS mental health and neurodevelopmental services across Kent and London. She founded an independent assessment and support service in Tonbridge, driven by her passion for creating positive futures for children and young people. Sirja is committed to empowering parents, healthcare professionals, and educators through free training and expert guidance.
