On April 28, our very own Scott Guira and Karie Pate-Valdes are representing Polk Pride in the ‘Leaders of Polk’ swan derby race as Team Swan Where Over the Rainbow! ? ? This is a FREE community event aimed to raise funds for the Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, a health care center that provides free medical care to working uninsured individuals across Polk County. ??????
Save the date, put on your Polk Pride attire, and come show your support for our team in derby day!
Oh, and did we mention there will be a derby hat contest? That’s right! We expect you to show up and show OUT. ?
Ahead of derby day, Karie and Scott are competing against other teams from across the county to see who can raise the most funds to benefit Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine! Any support you can provide in this way is greatly appreciated!
