Support for volunteers in Leeds: Learning event

The volunteers workforce are a critical and highly valued community in Leeds. Leeds City Council Public Health Team have been exploring way to support them, as they are vulnerable to burnout. This event shares findings of a creative, participatory evaluation of the Unfolding Programme which offers support and guidance to Leeds volunteers to care for their own wellbeing. Hosted by the University, but highly led by volunteers themselves, the evaluation shows the lived experience of volunteers and how support can be optimised via sensitivity to that. The event is a space for mutual sharing and discussion. Findings may have relevance for wellbeing support to other workforces. The event also showcases community participatory methods of evaluation.
