About this Event
We are delighted to offer subsidized Early Years Group Supervision. You can come and discuss cases you may be struggling with from a SEND/behaviour perspective. Supervision is a reflective space to consider particular challenges based around children, colleagues or families.
We encourage all practitioners to understand that behaviour is communication.
Particularly in this post pandemic Early Years world, where we can see that the children’s
communication and language and social and emotional abilities have been impacted.
We focus on key aspects such as relationships and our need to belong and feel
connected, regulation both co-regulation and self-regulation, sensory processing
difficulties, emotion coaching for children and the power of language.
The aim of supervision is to give some clarity as to what may be going on for the
child/children and a realistic and safe plan to move forward for the child, yourself and your colleagues. It is an opportunity to review a child or a plan through an objective lens and a safe space to discuss options and solutions.
Suzanne Allan is a teacher, trainer, coach and supervisor specialising in inclusion, SEN, Early Years and Trauma Informed practice and systems.
