Join us in the planetarium theater as we take a guided tour through how we use telescopes like the James Webb to learn more about stars too far to visit or take detailed pictures. Learn about the traces left in starlight and what they mean for a star’s formation and potential for habitable worlds, as well as the importance of events in our universe leading up to our own lives on Earth.Asterope “Leaf” Smerekanicz is an artist and writer with a degree in Physics and Astronomy; Rather than working in advanced tech or on the forefront of science and military, Leaf prefers to deepen her own understanding of the universe’s beauty and open others’ eyes to see it too. Much of her artwork is in ink and watercolor, but she also has 13 years of experience creating computer-generated 3D renders to help teach concepts impossible to image.
Recommended for all ages.
