For this super moon, the charts say the moon will rise before the sun sets, so could be interesting to paint....let's try it. Moonrise 4:38pm. Golden hour: 4:18pm-Sunset 4:54pm.
Park in the very first parking lot of Surfer's Point, along Shoreline Drive, just across from the fairground's entrance (before you get to the public restroom.) *This parking lot is metered, and takes credit cards.*
From there we should be able to look east northeast to see the moon rise above the pier (crossing fingers.) If nothing else, we can paint the sunset or evening lights.
Will be getting dark, so bring headlamps, booklights, flashlights or whatever you need to see your palette and stuff.
