After a short break we are proud to announce that Stand Up Poetry Open Mic is back with one of the countries most beloved poets, Aigagalefili Fepulea’i Tapua’i.
The original South Auckland Spoken Word Open Mic, Stand Up Poetry (SUP) aims to provide an accessible public platform for emerging spoken word poets.
The open mic is open to all styles, ages, experience, and backgrounds. Bring a poem, verse, or just yourself.
Uncensored but hate speech free.
FEATURE:
Aigagalefili Fepulea’i Tapua’i is an award-winning published poet, orator, and indigenous activist from South Auckland. Her work has appeared in the 2019 Poetry Yearbook New Zealand. She has been a guest speaker at the UN General Assembly and the Aotearoa Social Impact Summit New Zealand. In 2020 she was a guest speaker at the UN General Assembly.
