Save the date in your diary!! This is the bank holiday in august so we should be able to maximise the time on the water and a weekend away at the Basingstoke canal campsite. I will post a route more nearer the time. We will be staying at the campsite right by the canal, the site has minimal facilities but is very cheap. As you pay for a pitch and then the persons on that pitch. We will be camping out under the summers sky so pack your camping gear and accessories. We will venture out on the water in the day and chill by the fire in the evening. There is a cafe on site or you can venture out for meals or cook at the campsite. You are responsible for your own eating and drinking requirements. You don’t have to join us in camping you can come for the paddles, so message me for details of routes etc. There is likely to be a portage on one of the days, so please bare this in mind. You will need to book the camp site if you plan on staying with us, I suggest booking early to avoid disappointment as this is a bank holiday. You are free to do as you please and you don’t have to join us on the water. You do need a British canoe or paddle sport licence when they change over, they are around £47 for the year. Or you can buy a day licence for that day at the office for £5 per day. The postcode of the campsite is GU16 6DD about 1hr from Worthing (36 miles) 🤟 Everyone is welcome from big kids to children to dogs. I hope to see you there for some sunny paddles and a few beverages. 🏄♂️
