After a long absence due to the pandemic Jenny Goodman's harmony singing workshops are back! This afternoon is all about making you feel great with a mixture of acapella harmony songs from different world and folk music that evoke sunshine - every one of them will be about lifting your spirits through the power of song, harmony and raising our voices with others.
All songs taught by ear so no previous experience necessary. No solo singing (except by choice!) and no auditions - this is about the power and joy of singing together.
How much does it cost?
Booked and paid for in advance: £25 (full price/waged) £20 (part/low waged) £15 ( concession - unemployed, students, pensioners on low income)
Paid for on the day: £30 (full price/waged) £22 (part/low waged) £17 (concession - as above)

How to get there
Pilrig St Paul's Parish Church sits at the corner of Leith Walk and Pilrig St. All buses & trams running down Leith Walk will take you in the right direction. If you are driving give yourself plenty of time to park as parking can be difficult.
Who is Jenny?
Jenny Goodman is now based in Yorkshire but prior to the pandemic travelled regularly to Edinburgh to run workshops. She was the founder of The Voice House Choir in Edinburgh and their Musical Director for 7 years. Jenny is renowned for her relaxed, encouraging, inspirational style of teaching and for her in-depth knowledge of acapella harmony traditions and voice work. She is a founder member of The Natural Voice Practitioners Network and works to their philosophy the singing in a human birthright. Jenny had worked across the UK and internationally. She now runs a performing acapella choir in her native Huddersfield, a drop-in sing for the joy of it group in Holmfirth and leads Leeds People's Choir singing songs of social justice plus a small group harmony singing programme in the Midlands. She performs with acapella duo The Blameless Hussies, acosutic acapella cabaret duo The Naked Truth and 8 piece acapella ensemble Waiting for Dawn.

Contact Jenny on [email protected] or 07984584923 to book and then confirm by sending a cheque made out to Jenny Goodman for the full amount to 53 Dirker Bank Road, Marsden, Huddersfield, HD7 6AR West Yorkshire, England or by bank transfer to JM Goodman account 04157111 sort code 08 90 33. As Jenny travels from distance cheques are non-returnable except in cases of emergency/illness. Cheques are cashed after the workshop.
