A fun fibre festival featuring yarn and accessory vendors, demonstrations of fibre arts, and live fibre animals to visit including alpacas.Annual fibre festival in Orillia, with lots of local fibre vendors selling everything from fleece to beautifully dyed rovings and yarns. All small Canadian-owned businesses. Knitting, felting, spinning, crocheting, rug hooking and sewing accessories. Patterns and kits. Demonstrations of flax processing, angora rabbit grooming, spinning, traditional rug hooking, hand-cranked sock machine, and cross stitching. Visit with the fibre animals (angora rabbits, alpacas, sheep) and talk to their owners.
