Jim Hilston

Jim is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the timber flooring industry. He possesses extensive knowledge in the installation, finishing, and application of bespoke coating systems, including oils, waxes, and coloring techniques.
Jim has a decade of experience providing contracting installation and finishing services for insurance repairs. Additionally, he has a proven track record in delivering expert reports to insurers and panel builders on repair options following damage events.
A dedicated member of the Australian Timber Flooring Association (ATFA) for 15 years, Jim served as Chair of the ATFA Queensland Standing Committee and ATFA National Training Committee for approximately 10 years.
As a former ATFA inspector, Jim recently transitioned to focus on expert opinion reports and consulting. He is also a member and treasurer of the Building Dispute Practitioners Society.
