Join us for a sunset write-and-stroll on the stunning, secluded beach and wooded paths of Indian Island, WA.
About this Event
Indian Island — in addition to its miles of secluded, stunning beaches, Madrone-lined trails and bird-haven wetlands — an ideal spot for gorgeous sunset views.

In this delightful, easy stroll on one of the most secluded and beautiful public beaches on the Peninsula, we'll be writing and contemplating the theme The Luminous Self to deepen our connection to ourselves while communing with the natural world.

Please bring a hard-backed notebook and pen, as well as a portable camping chair if you need back support when sitting on the beach.

Writing in Nature, Deepening in Self is a retreat series designed to deepen your connection to your creative Self with profound writing prompts in communion with the natural world.

I am a soul and nature communicator, which means I tend to get messages about what's needed at each retreat, so I try to tailor according to the needs of the group (at both a conscious and soul level) as well as the places in nature we are visiting (they usually have messages to share with the group).

W hile every retreat is different, Write & Hike Retreats usually consist of the following:

  1. The day of the retreat, we meet either to carpool or at the trailhead
  2. We do some nature-communing exercises and sensory check-ins
  3. We give the group writing prompts for the trail
  4. We hike (or walk), sometimes as a group, sometimes individually (depending on individual preferences)
  5. We share our writings and experiences in circle
  6. I lead the group in some breathwork (as a means of connecting with Self and nature)
  7. We have a little closing circle.
