EVENT DETAILS
Enjoy the glowing hues of sunset on a relaxing stroll along Wind Wolves Preserve's newest route, the Red-Tailed Trail! The trail is an easy 1.2-mile loop recommended for ages 6 and up.
Event is subject to cancellation due to unsafe weather conditions.
Please plan to arrive at the Administrative Center parking lot by 3:15 pm for check-in.
Event is FREE, but space is limited! Reservations are required and open Saturday, December 27 at 8:00 a.m. Call Wind Wolves Preserve at (661) 858-1115 or email [email protected] for questions or more information.

• Remember to bring enough water and snacks for each person and pet in your group (it is recommended you bring 1 liter for every 2 hours of hiking/ person).
• Recognize the symptoms of cold stress in yourself and others.

All donations go directly to The Wildlands Conservancy and help support free public access, youth education, interpretative programs, and habitat restoration projects! ABOUT US
Wind Wolves Preserve is a 93,000-acre nature preserve located approximately 30 miles south of Bakersfield, and is owned and operated by The Wildlands Conservancy (TWC). The preserve is open to the public daily and visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, or attend a staff led program, all free of charge.
TWC is a private, non-profit organization that operates more than 25 preserves along the west coast. Our mission is "To preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the earth and to provide programs so that children may know the wonder and joy of nature."
