Meet Spot: McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve Parking Lot (see map below).
Trail Accessibility: Flat and wide dirt trail, maintained by the City of Oshawa for ~1km. Then ~300 metres of loose sand and cobble beach walking. 1.3km to the nest site, 2.6km total.
General Access: Free parking at the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve lot - far east end of Colonel Sam Drive, Oshawa. The nearest public washrooms are located in Darlington Provincial Park (1km walk to park bathroom. Walking access in on a wide, flat, paved trail and park roads).
