As the sun goes down, we will experience nature’s transition from day to night. Then relax on land with a cozy fire and roast s’mores.
Fee: $20 per person.
Age: Ages 12 or older. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Registration required by Wednesday, June 4, by calling 815-722-4121 or online: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/activity/search/detail/9571?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true
All equipment, including personal flotation devices, is provided. The instructors are American Canoe Association certified. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, and consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle.
Previous kayaking experience is required as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program.
Water is accessible by way of a paved parking lot to the boat entrance ramp. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
