Join me to watch the Sun setting on the last day of Lughnasadh from the beautiful Slievenaglogh in the Cooley Mountains. We will make our way up.a mix of roads, trails and forest paths that will pass a court Tomb and the WW2 memorial before reaching the summit beside Seamus's Lake and overlooking the Peninsula below. At the top we will wander around the many rocky outcrops taking in the wonderful views on all sides. After the Sun has set we will head down under the darkening sky taking a looped route back to our starting point. This is a lovely hike and although there are sections of uneven terrain it is doable for anyone with average fitness.
Proper clothing, footwear and a torch are required.
Duration: 3 hours approx

Meeting Point: The parking area in Rocmarshal beside the Ravensdale turnoff.
