The Sunset Cultural Ceremony will be presented by local Aboriginal Elders in acknowledgement that for First Nations Peoples, Australia Day carries different connotations.
The Sunset Cultural Ceremony, performed against the stirring backdrop of the Woronora River, provides a reflective and respectful way to engage with the profound significance of this day for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Local Elder Dean Kelly and Aunty Calita Murray invite people to “Give yourself the opportunity to join us in this important conversation about who we are as people in this country”.
Everyone is welcome and attendance is free.
