This is a love-donation-based event. Melissa is grateful to share her gifts with the community every week and would like to keep this event accessible. Location: Outside on the lawn at The Nelson-Atkins Museum. We will be under the big silver tree on the SE corner of the lawn (around Cleaver Blvd/47th & Rockhill Rd). Parking tip: park on the neighborhood streets just east of Rockhill.
Please have the following available for your comfort during your session:
~ Wear comfy, layered clothes. You may get hot or you may get cold.
~ Lie on a yoga mat and have a blanket to cover up and anything else for your comfort. You will be lying on your back for the journey.
~ A journal and pen, if you want to take notes after your breathwork journey.
~ Water to drink.
~ Eye mask optional.
Note About Medical and Psychiatric Contraindications for a Breathwork Journey:
Breathwork is a very safe and effective modality with just a few possible contraindications. Please take note if any of these apply to you. This type of Breathwork can result in powerful activations on a physical, emotional, and mental level. Some contraindications may include but are not limited to cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure (that is not controlled by medication), history of strokes or seizures, epilepsy, brain or abdominal aneurysms, uncontrolled diabetes, thyroid conditions, detached retina, high eye pressure, glaucoma, osteoporosis, pregnancy, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. Please check with your doctor if you have any of those conditions prior to participating in a breathwork journey.
