About this Event
Experience the power of breathwork and the benefits of cold exposure while connecting with community and nature at Terrigal beach.
We invite you to come along and join us for a light morning activation breathwork session.
To help prime you for a powerful day whilst experiencing a beautiful sunrise & connecting with community. Come breathe, take a dip in the ice bath, and connect with like-minded people in a safe, encouraging and supportive space.
What you will receive:
* Guided restorative and energising breathwork
* Connect, meet and chat with like-minded humans
* Education on the physical and physiological benefits of cold exposure
* An Ice bath experience
What you will need to bring:
1. Yoga mat or towel to lay on and a warm blanket
2. Swimmers (it is logistically easier if you wear them to the event)
3. Something warm to change into after the ice bath
We discourage people to perform the breathing techniques and cold exposure practices in case of epilepsy, Raynaud’s syndrome type II or pregnancy.
For any serious health condition, participants should first consult their doctor. Furthermore, additional care should be taken for some participants. This is particularly the case for the following conditions:
• People who have heart problems, a blood pressure that is (much) too high and use medications for this
• Kidney failure
• Angina Pectoris
• Raynaud’s syndrome (type I)
• Migraines - people can experience sudden migraines when entering the ice bath. Therefore, it is advised to gradually build up cold exposure for people with a history of migraines
• Shortly after an operation
• Panic disorder - during the breathing exercises and/or the ice bath a sudden panic attack can occur
• Cold urticaria
• Severe asthma - pay attention to the correct execution of the breathing techniques
• Acute somatic and viral diseases
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD-II and COPD-III)
• Chronic diseases with symptoms of decompensation or terminal illness
• Individual intolerance of oxygen insufficiency
• Cancer, unless prescribed by a doctor
• People with epilepsy, pacemakers or heart arrhythmias
By purchasing a ticket to this event you are acknowledging that you have read the above medical contraindications, are fit and cleared by a medical professional to attend.
