Sunny Space Talks Mental Health
From the very beginning, our goal at Sunny Space has been to create a safe environment where people can grow, feel seen, and build supportive friendships. We’ve been truly amazed at how quickly this has blossomed through our shared love for movement. We strive to be the best part of your day, ensuring you leave feeling a little better than when you arrived.
However, we understand that once you step outside our doors, the challenges of the world can weigh heavy. That’s why we are committed to equipping you with tools to best cope, especially as the cooler, darker days of winter approach. Understanding the connection between your thoughts and feelings can help you to feel more hopeful and motivated during this time.
Join us for a 60-minute session and workshop led by our beloved member and Registered Clinical Counsellor, Rachel Jones-McKinley. She’ll provide valuable insights and strategies as we head into the winter months. This will be followed by a 50-minute candlelight restoritive Pilates class, where you can take what you've learned and put it into practice.

My name is Rachel. I am a mom, partner, daughter, sister, friend and counsellor. I am a lover of people and their stories, and believe in resilience, even when it seems impossible.
Sometimes life presents us with challenges that we didn’t ask for. This can feel unfair, and navigating our struggles can feel overwhelming. It is not lost on me the strength that it takes to seek help, and I find myself humbled by my client’s bravery.
My own life experience, academics, as well as my background working in neurosciences, has shown me that although evidence based knowledge is essential, the power of human connection forms a strong foundation for change. I recognize sharing takes vulnerability and can be uncomfortable, so above all else, I hope to provide a therapeutic space that feels safe.
I believe you know yourself better than anyone; sometimes you just need support discovering and accessing your true self.
