Sunflowers Children's Action Group is a small local charity (11186308) and is run by a group of passionate volunteers dedicated to making a difference to the lives of children contending with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We're holding a sponsored walk and many of our young sunflower superheroes will be in attendance - we are looking for others to join them and raise as much sponsorship as possible!
Whether you choose to turn up as Batman or Wonderwoman, Captain America or Spiderman....or just as yourself....your support will mean the world to our families.
There are four easy walks - if you fancy walking from the old Pleasure Island site to Wonderland and back, that's around five miles. The Boating Lake return is 4 miles, Leisure Centre 2.5 miles and Pier 1 mile. It's on a level, flat surface the whole way, so suitable for the whole family including those on wheels.
Entry is via an online booking system. We ask for a £10 donaiton per adult and £2.50 donation per child under 13 to cover our costs. Once you have registered, we will send you to our special Justgiving campaign which is ready and waiting for you to easily create your own fundraising page, as an individual, team or family.
In the first instance, please drop an email to [email protected] with the names of those you would like to register (you only need one registration per group). Then pay for your places online at the end of providing details. Once this goes through, you will be sent the Justgiving details to create your page - this is so easy! Please do not create a page before being given the campaign link.
