New race alert!!!I've been a little quiet about events beyond Bluebell.
However, things, of course, never stand still!
Race across Dorset will not happen in 2024, but is by no means dead and buried. I just need a complete re-think about this one....more news later.
But we have a fabulous new event being put together for the summer. Please welcome the Sunflower Stride!!!🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
In conjunction with my farming friends Hazel and Dick Hoskin, we are bringing a new event with a Sunflower theme.
Following the famous Sunflower Trail, runners will wind their way through the Sunflowers, and then up to Maiden Castle (amazing views) and beyond. The date has to fit in with when we think the sunflowers will be at their best (mid August) We are thinking an evening event to avoid running in the heat of the day, and not to clash with the normal opening hours of the trail.
More details will be announced, but here are the basics:
Date: Saturday 17 August
Time: First race away 5.00 (to be confirmed)
Distances: 10k and 5k (could vary a bit!)
Venue: Maiden Castle Farm DT2 9EY
We will be supporting the Dorset County Hospital Charity hthat the Sunflower Trail always raises funds for.
Post racing, we hope to get food and refreshments organised - think bar and bbq.
