No homework, no pressure, and no required reading list. Welcome to the "Silent" version of the Sunflower Book Club!
Many of us love the idea of a book club but find it hard to keep up with a specific reading schedule. The Silent Book Club is different. It’s about carving out intentional time for yourself to read what you want, in the company of fellow book lovers.
How it Works
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Arrive, grab a coffee or tea from the bar at Lark & Owl, find a cozy seat, and settle in. Have a short greeting/introducing each other circle.
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: The "Quiet Hour." We read our individual books in companionable silence. No phones, no distractions—just you and your story.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Optional socializing. If you’re feeling chatty, stick around to share what you’re reading, trade recommendations, or just meet other "reading people" in our community. We can discuss "Krampus" and talk about the plans for the next book club meetups.
What to Bring
The Book of Your Choice: Whether it’s a new thriller, a classic, poetry, or a graphic novel—bring whatever you are currently enjoying.
Where we meet
Lark & Owl Booksellers is a stunning, female-founded independent bookstore in the heart of Georgetown. It’s the perfect backdrop for a morning of literary peace. This is a wonderful way to protect your reading time and connect with the Sunflower Ranch community in a relaxed, introverted-friendly environment.
