This week, we’re wrapping up the night at Uncle Lou, a beloved Chinatown favorite only 3 minutes from the Loft.
Named after owner Louis Wong, known in the neighborhood as “Uncle Lou”, the restaurant is a true love letter to Chinatown. The menu is filled with classic Cantonese dishes that generations of families have grown up with: steamed fish with scallion and ginger, soy-braised pork belly with pillowy gua bao, salt-and-pepper seafood, and comforting beef stew with daikon. It’s homey, nostalgic cooking meant to honor the elders and “old overseas Chinese” whose food traditions shaped the neighborhood long before trendy spots appeared.
Supporting places like Uncle Lou is our small way of giving back to the community that hosts us every week - and experiencing the culture that makes Chinatown so special. 🫶
We have a reservation for 14, and adding more seats will most likely not be possible.

2:00–3:00 PM → Vault Line with Joe (Level 2+)
Explore creative variations and elevate your social-dance adaptability.
3:00–4:00 PM → Fundamentals Line (Beginners)
Build clarity, confidence, and solid WCS foundations. Perfect for beginners.

🍜 Community Dinner — 7:15 PM at Uncle Lou
After dancing, we’ll walk over together to Uncle Lou, a warm, bustling Cantonese spot loved by locals and families across generations. The restaurant celebrates Chinatown’s heritage through dishes that feel like home — hearty, comforting, and full of tradition.
This dinner is always one of our favorite parts of the day: a chance to unwind, connect, and support our neighborhood together.
