Sundown Cinema and the Royal Air Force Museum are teaming up to host a weekend of fantastic films this summer. The outdoor screenings will include films for all ages and be accompanied by a vintage fairground. With family friendly matinee screenings of The Lion King, The Greatest Showman and Moana and evening screenings of Top Gun, Jurassic Park and Grease there is something for everyone.Our Fairground will include swing boats, coconut shy, high strikers and chair-o-planes for the little ones. Cinema ticket holders will get two free tokens each, so make sure you arrive early! The fairground will be open between 10am and 2pm, and 5pm and 7pm over the three days.

We have a limited number of deckchairs for hire, which can be purchased with your cinema tickets.
Food and Drink:
Our restaurant will be serving food and drink throughout the day and into the evening. We will publish a full menu closer to the event. You are welcome to bring a picnic, but please note that you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the event arena unless purchased at the Museum.

The Lion King (U) Friday 20 August at 3.00pm
Disney’s 1994 Animated Lion King ticks all the boxes, a loveable hero, funny sidekicks and a wicked villain – puts them together with a great song list and creates a movie that works for adults and kids alike. Hakuna Matata!
Top Gun (12A) Friday 20 August at 7.30pm
There really is no cooler place to watch Top Gun than after a day at the RAF Museum. Jets, aviator shades and more quotable lines than you’d think possible!
Greatest Showman (PG) Saturday 21 August at 3.00pm
Feel good films rarely feel better than this! Hugh Jackman leads a stellar cast in this brilliant musical that’s fun for all the family. Sing, smile and create a memory this summer with Sundown and the RAF Museum this summer.
Jurassic Park (PG) Saturday 21 August at 7.30pm
An Island full of dinosaurs, what could possibly go wrong? Get ready for some jaw-biting action in this 1993 classic.
Moana (PG) Sunday 22 August at 3.00pm
Sundown Cinema brings Moana to our brilliant new venue this summer. Disney’s massive hit is brilliant on the big screen and even better in the open air at a brilliant family museum. You’re welcome!
Grease (PG) Sunday 22 August at 7.30pm
Dust off the leather jacket, squeeze into the catsuit and gel back the hair, we end our summer screenings with Grease – dress up, sit down and kick back as you sing those summer nights – the prefect way to end a weekend.
