We begin our new series with a story of Jesus crossing boundaries of culture and faith to heal the Syrophoenician woman’s daughter (Mark 7:24–37). What happens when the “outsider” shows up in our midst, and we are called to respond with compassion? This Sunday, we’ll reflect on God’s call to open our hearts and our hands, even in a world that too often is closed off to love.
Join us immediately after worship for an educational forum on the film “Fascism in Europe” by Rick Steeves. Lunch will be served. Please bring a dish to share.
