A Singapore-Germany collaboration presenting the music of Slim & Slam + The Cats and The Fiddle
Swing by for a special edition of Jazz Inc’s Sunday Swing Jamboree, where The Rhythmakers are joined by Tim Schicker from The Killin’ Jivers, a swing dance band from Germany! They will be presenting the hip music of Slim & Slam, The Cats and The Fiddle, as well as tunes by novelty acts, which might include a bop tune or two, as well as Tim’s original tunes - all for your dancing and listening pleasure! They will be joined by Amanda Lee (piano), Nobu Shiraishi (bass), and Asher Lee (drums). You don’t have to be a dancer to enjoy the music, drinks, and food at The Jazz Loft!
Bandleader Tim Schicker studied Jazz guitar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and is the singer, guitarist, manager, producer, and arranger for The Killin’ Jivers. He has performed around the world and his compositions and arrangements won prizes in Europe. The band’s latest album “The Dream of Day and Night” is available on Bandcamp and most streaming platforms.
Sinclair Ang is the founder of Jazz Inc, a collective that promotes jazz dances and early jazz music through workshops and performances around the world. He also sings and leads his Rhythmakers, a band that plays swing standards for dancers.
