Join us Sunday October 5th at the Brooklin Community Centre, 45 Cassels Road East. The service starts at 10:30 am and is followed by a workshop run by Solomon Lome called the Exclusion Circle. Please allow time to find your seat.
We sometimes forget the difference between Healing and cure. One defines our "repair" so we are healthy again, with no apparent changes. The other is about becoming whole and not being the same at all. Its good to know the difference since repair of our bodies, hearts and souls is not always possible. And at some point, staying "who we are", will end, so its good to have another way of understanding who we are.
Exclusion Circle
The Exclusion Circle is a participatory activity that helps participants understand how arbitrary rules and social labels can lead to exclusion and inequality. By taking part in a simple, interactive activity, participants experience what it feels like to be included or excluded based on random identity assignments. Join Solomon Lome from 12:30-1:15.
