Hard Knox was conceived by two neighbors looking to escape the doldrums from sheltering in-place during the pandemic. When Kirk Westphal (Keyboard, Guitar and Vocals) and Brian Shea (Guitar) realized their weekend escapes in music started to become more than just palatable, they sought to round out their sound. Kirk and Brian convinced Frank Caruso (Drums and Vocals) who’d been removed from playing music for 50 years to join the weekend ensemble. After a few successful outings, the group was fortunate to find Kiernan Cone (Vocals and Guitar) as the band’s front person. Kiernan is admired throughout the valley and known for her soaring and daring vocals which are only overshadowed by her stage presence. To round out the troupe the band convinced Paul Bishop (Bass and Vocals) to join the band on bass. Hard Knox despite its short existence has become known and sought after throughout the local music scene. The band has performed all over Western Massachusetts and Connecticut entertaining a wide range of audiences. Hard Knox is widely known for its unique song selection and un-mistakable renditions of those often slightly forgotten favorites. There performances are jam packed with songs that will often surprise and delight listeners. Come sing, dance and have some fun with Hard Knox. This performance begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Beveridge Pavilion and has a suggested donation of $5 per person. Chairs will be provided and food service will be available from The Bubble Mug Cafe at Pottery Cellar.
