This is a self-supported, no drop, 24 mile easy paced (10-14mph) gravel ride, that starts and finishes on the gravel bike/walking paths in Riverbend Park. The beginning of the ride will take us through the trails of the park that lead out to the Loxahatchee Slough and Hungryland Slough Canals. Once we reach the canal, we will continue our ride along the northside of the Loxahatchee Slough Canal and onto the Hungryland Slough Canal, until we reach the Beeline Hwy (710). At Beeline we will cross over to the other side of the Hungryland Slough Canal (making a U-Turn) and continue our ride until we reach Loxahatchee Canal, making a right turn until we reach PGA Blvd. At PGA Blvd. we will once again cross over to the other side of the Loxahatchee Slough Canal (making a U-Turn) and head north, back to Riverbend Park.
Remember to pack enough hydration for a 2 to 2-1/2 hour ride. We will stop at the halfway point to stretch, have a snack, and enjoy our surroundings.
A gravel or mountain bike would be appropriate for this ride. Road bike is not recommended.
