What to Expect: The Lakeside Ranch Stormwater Treatment Area is a series of large wetlands in western Martin County adjacent to Lake Okeechobee, with hard pack shell rock gravel trails that travel around the perimeter and through this 2,700-acre recreation area. There will be an abundance of birds, alligators, and the possibly deer!
This is a self-supported ride. We will spend between 1-1/2 to 2 Hours riding at an easy pace throughout the wetland. Please bring the proper amount of hydration and nutrition with you on your bike. There will be a short break at the halfway point to stretch and have a snack.
Meet up at: 7:00AM
Roll out at: 7:30AM
Length of Ride: 1-1/2 hour to 2 hours
Average Pace: 10-12mph
Gravel, Cyclocross, Mountain, and Hybrid bikes are recommended for this ride. The gravel surface is NOT road bike friendly.
