About this Event
Join Ian Nesbitt for a home-cooked meal and a discussion about The Book of Visions and what future food systems might look like.
The Book of Visions is a found manuscript, gathering together hundreds of 'ideas for an alternative society', sent in by members of the public in 1973. Working with examples from the book itself, we will take a closer look at some of these overgrown utopian dreams, particularly those that relate to land use and food production.
We will consider Ian's research question - 'what would a new Book of Visions look like?' - before turning our attention to the contemporary context of Doncaster, using local knowledge and the lessons of the morning to explore how we approach land use and food production, and what could be different...
