Research, including extensive studies by the American Psychological Association, shows that our ability to experience empathy is on the decline, affecting both children and adults. Empathy is a combination of innate traits and learned skills. Could the increasing political divide in the US be linked to this decline in empathy? Can progressive groups foster empathy to create a more unified society?
These questions, along with other related topics, will be explored in this interactive presentation by Society Leader Curt Collier.
This talk is at the meetinghouse and on Zoom. The Zoom link will be in members' weekly Focus newsletter and may be obtained by emailing [email protected] by noon on Saturday.
