Claudio’s extraordinary journey with music began at the age of four, when his natural talent was nurtured by private instruction. By 1955, he was a proud graduate of the prestigious Academy of Music in Portugal, and just a few years later, he refined his artistry at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, studying classical piano under the esteemed Harry Heap.
Versatile, dynamic, and endlessly creative, Claudio has mastered every style—from swinging jazz and smooth easy listening to rock and beyond. A gifted sight-reader and accomplished conductor, he brings both precision and passion to every performance.
For over four decades, Claudio has lit up some of the world’s most celebrated stages, including the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, the MGM Grand in Reno, and San Francisco’s iconic Fairmont Hotel. As a seasoned jazz veteran, he has also captivated audiences at the Concord and Santa Maria Jazz Festivals, earning a reputation as a true master of the genre.
