Sunday Arches
The four schoolmates from Colchester spent long summers thrashing out late teenage masterpieces in parents’ living rooms. School finished, different paths were followed, and the band became little more than a precious memory. Fast forward a decade or so, Ben, Dom, Michael and Sam met up under a railway arch in London armed with new ideas.
Five years, countless sell out gigs, radioplay on BBC 6Music, multiple EPs and a full length album later, guitarist Charlie is welcomed to the band with Michael departing.
With a tight yet big sound, using melody as the anchor, the self-exploratory lyrics run while the music meanders between snappy indie hooks and explosive rock. Sunday Arches offer a sonic spectrum while keeping one eye on the pop ideals.
