LEARN WEST COAST SWING in the afternoon at our Beginners Workshop and stay for our popular EVENING SWING DANCE.Afternoon Workshops and Evening Swing Dance Description:
Afternoon Boot Camp Workshops - Learn some the key basics of West Coast Swing with instructor Wesley Boz in our 3 afternoon workshops, then get out on the dance floor and have fun.
Evening Swing Dancing starts at 6 pm - 10 pm right after the Boot Camp workshops end.
DOORS OPEN AT 2:40 PM TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS.
(No online registration).
AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS: We will be offering three, fun and informative workshops starting at 3 pm. Take one or all three workshops. No partner or prior experience necessary, very inclusive.
3 pm - INTRODUCTION TO WEST COAST SWING: Don't miss this first class. here we introduce you to the 6 count foundations of west coast swing. Open, closed positions, starter step, side pass variations.
4 pm - PUSH BREAK/SUGAR PUSH: This is a must class for any aspiring west coast swing dancer.
5 PM - INSIDE TURNS AND PICKUPS: Here we get a bit harder and challenging in the material.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP COST: Register at the door. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the workshops to check in and get your name tag. Payment Methods: Cash, check, Visa, Master Card, AmEx, Discover, Venmo, Debit at the door.
Carolina Dance Club Members (CDC): $11 One Workshop , $19 Two Workshops, $23 Three Workshops.
Non-CDC Members Public: $15 One Workshop, $25 Two Workshops, $35 Three Workshops. Students (14-24 yrs): $5.00 per workshop. No partner necessary.
BOOT CAMP BANKROLL: When you take all three afternoon workshops, you can get the evening swing dance at 6 pm for just $5.00.
The evening swing dance is a separate admission charge.
EVENING SWING DANCE SCHEDULE:
6 PM Beginner & Intermediate East Coast Swing Lessons. (included with your admission).
PUBLIC $15, STUDENTS (16-24 yrs.) $10, CDC Members $12.
NEW MUSIC FORMAT: DJ Wesley Boz.
We will be playing a continuous mix of great swing music throughout the evening. (lindy hop, west coast swing, country two step, hustle, blues, east coast swing, balboa)
SOCIAL DANCING - 7 pm till 10:00 pm - Big Band, Jump Blues, Country, Top40 Swing, R&B, Swingin Jazz, 50/60 Rock& Roll, Hustle music.
