The morning will start with a safety briefing and instruction, and you will be towed in a tandem hang glider to 2,500 ft above ground with an 'USPHA' rated tandem instructor at your side, then release to fly freely like a bird and land safely on wheels. They video each flight with an on board camera. (Video costs additional $40)
TANDEM SAILPLANE GLIDING
Ever want to fly or glide a plane without an engine. Here is is your chance. The introductory rides give you the opportunity to fly with an FAA certified commercial pilot or instructor. Choose from either our basic trainer or high performance glider. A rugged single engine tow plane will tow you to approx 2500 feet above ground level (AGL) where you will pull the release and experience free flight!
There are over 20,000 FAA licensed glider pilots in the US, over 100,000 world wide. Soaring exists in every state in the nation including Alaska and Hawaii. National Distance record - Out and return 1023.42 miles, April 25, 1983 flown by Thomas Knauff from Ridge Soaring, PA. Depart Date: October 5, 2024 Saturday. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier. Van will depart sharply on time with or without you.

Depart 8:15 AM from Midtown NYC: ( ViVi Bubble Tea ) Corner of 43rd St and 9th Ave New York, NY 10036 ( Map ) Subway lines (Times Sq-42 St): A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, S.
Depart 8:30 AM from NJ: ( North Bergen Park & Ride ) Commuter Parking Lot, North Bergen, NJ 07047 ( Map ) Please wait near the bus stop. Note: Daily parking is $2, and multiple day parking is allowed.
Return Date/Time: Depart around 3:30 PM, and expect to arrive at NJ 5:00 PM, midtown NYC 5:20 PM & Queens at 6:00 PM

Early Bird Tandem Hang Gliding: $209.99 with $59.99 deposit. Bring balance of $150 cash on the event date. Video CD costs $40 additional. Early Bird Tandem Sailplane Gliding: High Performance Ride $149.99 with $49.00 deposit. Bring balance of $100 cash on the event date. Regulars are $10 more within 7 days of the trip or when Early Birds sold out. Please bring $5 cash tips for the hang gliding / sailplane gliding instructors. Much appreciated!
