Join the Sierra Club, Solar United Neighbors, and Direct Action Against CenterPoint Energy for an afternoon of action! CenterPoint Energy, southwest Indiana’s monopoly utility, has delayed moving beyond coal and has previously had some of the highest return on investment rates in the state. This has led to environmental pollution, extreme electric bills, and negative health outcomes for us ratepayers. We’ve had enough! Join us on Sunday, September 21st for an afternoon of action to learn about how coal has impacted our community and how we can hold CenterPoint accountable in retiring their remaining coal units and doing what is right for customers' health and wallets. Afterwards, join us with your signs and voices to rally in front of CenterPoint’s building. We will hear from Indiana House Representative Alex Burton, Dr. Thomas Stratton, and Wendy Bredhold on the impacts of high electric bills and coal pollution in our community, and make our voices heard!
