This presentation is part of "The Healing Woods," a yearlong series exploring our connection to the Adirondack wilderness.
Join HSL for a special presentation commemorating the 100th anniversary of George and Bob Marshall and Herb Clark becoming the first Adirondack 46ers. John Sasso will present on their historic achievement, as well as his recent research into the history of Ampersand Mountain.
John Sasso is an avid hiker and Adirondack historian. His research focuses on the history of Adirondack peaks and early land surveys.
His work has been featured in the Adirondack Aimanack, Adirondack PEEKS, and the Adirondack Journal of Environmental Studies. He also founded the popular Facebook. group, "History and Legends of the Adirondacks."
