Save the date and be sure to select going or interested to be notified of updates.We call our annual Canada Day event Summerside Celebrates Canada because it is held on Canada Day weekend, but not on Canada Day. This has been going on for about 20 years now and has proven to be quite popular. It provides the opportunity to turn Canada Day into a weekend long activity. It allows families to stay close to home, and those who want to celebrate more than once to attend more than one event.
This year there will be 6 inflatable bouncers from 5:00 to 9:00 (wristbands will be sold for $5 each), a DJ and a vendor fair thanks to our partnership with Summerside based business Local Options Vendor Fairs. They specialize in showcasing local crafters, artisans and food vendors. We are excited to once again have Drewlo Holdings and Ironstone Building Company sponsoring the professional pyrotechnic fireworks display that will top off the event at 10:00 after the playing of the national anthem.
