Summer Yoga Series with Boulder Parks and Rec

Start your Saturday with an invigorating and relaxing rooftop yoga class that enhances your mind-body connection. This all-levels yoga class will take you through a slow sequence of satisfying poses that promote strength, mobility, balance, and ease as you enjoy a beautiful view of the Flatirons. This class is appropriate for all levels of experience and modifications will be offered to make the practice work for you. Please bring your own mat. We'll be soaking up the sun on the rooftop, so practicing in a hat and sunglasses is welcome!

June 14th: Monica Nabholz
Monica has been teaching group fitness for 20 years and yoga for 17. A CU graduate, Monica moved to the Midwest after graduation and taught group fitness and yoga classes in St Louis, Kansas City, Chicago and Denver before moving back to Boulder 5 years ago. Monica teaches many styles of Yoga, Vinyasa and athletic style being her favorite. When not teaching, Monica can be found hiking or cheering on the Buffs at Folsom Field.Class description: Come experience a Vinyasa style yoga class, linking breath to movement. This thoughtfully designed sequence will begin with centering, a gentle warm-up, followed by sun salutations and a series of standing, balance, and seated poses.

June 21st: Kerry Maiorca
A yoga practitioner and teacher for more than 25 years, Kerry is passionate about inspiring her students to discover the benefits of slowing down and taking a more mindful, embodied, and compassionate approach to the practice. 
Kerry specializes in gentle and restorative yoga, an approach that balances effort and ease, strength and softness, activity and rest. Each of her classes includes accessible meditation, breath, and relaxation techniques to empower you to bring these life-changing
practices into your daily life. Kerry is also a Somatic Therapist offering individual therapy (including EMDR) and couples therapy. As a sound bath practitioner, she loves incorporating Himalayan singing bowls in her classes as well as in individual and group
