Summer Yoga Day Retreat (Brighton)

To echo the season at this day Summer Retreat we'll be feeling into the Celtic (fire) festival & astrological event of Mid-Summer also known as Summer Solstice. The retreat itself falls over a new moon.


Mid-summer invites us to feel into the energy of celebration as we reach the peak of daylight hours & the longest of days & warmest of weather. With this peak, we may notice our physical energy is at its highest as we find ourselves in action or out and about perhaps at social gatherings or working on projects.

THE RETREAT ITSELF


After a short meditative walk in nature to ground & connect we slide into our cacao ceremony which opens the day beautifully. We'll feel into the new moon energy to connect with any intentions or wishes as we amplify them with a simple fire ritual.


Along with drinking the cacao and enjoying a guided journey meditation, we'll use journalling, yoga, mindfulness, gentle breathwork and other activities during the weekend to give intention & attention to magnify anything we may be birthing, creating or focusing on right now.


Each day there'll be two yoga sessions including simple breath-work along with a nourishing plant-based lunch and afternoon tea & healthy cake - you'll be well on your way to feeling more relaxed & centred.


Also weaved into each day will be massage a life-coaching session or energy healing/beauty treatment (depending on the day) and a creative wellness workshop or health talk (all activities are included in the ticket price and are optional).


YOGA:

There will be a variety of styles taught across the weekend with options given for all levels/abilities. Each day has two x 90-minute sessions. There'll be Vinyasa slow flow in the morning and Yin with Yoga Nidra (a guided sleep meditation) in the afternoon.


Inspiration is drawn from areas such as the Five Elements Theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine The Chakra system and Sarah's knowledge around Naturopathy & Nutrition.


Sarah likes to weave in aromas to her classes in the form of pure essential oils and smokes from woods & herbs. The experience is further enhanced with emotive playlists as well as silence.


COACHING:

Life coaching with Marcin Hansz - your coaching session has been designed to help you identify and/or understand challenges in a chosen area of your daily life or in general.


This awareness could be the first step to start transforming your life towards a more fulfilling path.


Practical tips or tools will be shared where relevant.


Also included is a complimentary optional 15-minute chemistry call with Marcin your coach ahead of retreat to understand what's involved & whether it's for you.


The main coaching session can be taken during the week leading up to the retreat rather than on the day.


TREATMENTS / HEALING / WORKSHOPS / WELLNESS TASTER SESSIONS:

Two sessions per day are included in the ticket price (massage coaching taster beauty energy healing make-&-take workshop biofeedback taster) depending on the day & availability/demand.


FOOD:

Food - everything will be plant-based seasonal and made mindfully with love. Additional dietary requirements can be catered for please tell me when booking. This includes fruit in the breaks, lunch and afternoon tea with healthy (and very delicious!) cake.


TICKETS

You are welcome to come for the weekend or pick just Saturday or Sunday. The weekend ticket is discounted. Contact me directly if you wish to avoid ticketing fees.


WHY A DAY RETREAT?

To get the experience and benefits of a yoga retreat but for a day (or two!). Potentially not travelling too far and spending way less than a yoga holiday. Also easy to fit into a full or busy life!


You’ll be able to leave your regular life and routine and habitual ways of being behind as you full switch off. Think of it as a journey inwards, where you can pause, reflect on how you're living day-to-day, and reconnect with your true self.


At a retreat, you can also dive more deeply into practices that nourish your mind, body, and soul - mindful eating of plant-based, clean, delicious food that feeds the body, rejuvenating breathwork & meditation, transformative yoga sessions, therapies, wellness workshops and time to explore the healing power of nature as well as indulging in moments of blissful silence - all aid in this process of turning within.


In a world constantly demanding things of us (and putting our nervous systems into "fight & fight" or stress states, these day retreats offer a sanctuary to reset and realign. By stepping away from it all, you give your nervous system the break it deserves, paving the way for self-soothing, healing, and growth.
