Discover an ancient pre-Christian third gender of Southern Italy, the Femminielli. Summer is a transgender artist from Staten Island. feeling like an outsider in her family's Italian-American traditions, she journeys back to her grandmother's homeland in Southern Italy and discovers a transgender tradition that matches her identity and makes her feel that she belongs.
