https://events.marian.edu/event/30303-summer-wildflower-walkIndiana hosts a beautiful display of native flowers throughout the summer months. Join our restoration ecologist Sarah for a special tour to see all of the wildflowers across our wetlands, prairies, and forests. You will learn fun facts about interesting native species, their adaptations to surviving in their habitats, and their importance to the environment. Your guide will also describe the restoration methods that go into creating ideal habitats for these native species. Shutterbugs are welcome to bring their cameras and take photos during the walk!
This event is family friendly, open to the public, and free to attend. Please park near the St. Francis Colonnade. We will meet by the fountain and guide visitors down into the EcoLab afterwards. Please dress accordingly for the weather and bring any supplies you might want on the hike (hat, water, bugspray, etc.). We recommend wearing closed toed shoes to this event. This event will occur in rain or shine.
