About this Event
Discover how to identify common trees in summer by studying the key differences in their leaves, along with other important features such as bark and fruit, buds and location among other indicators.
There will be an indoor session with an opportunity to find out about the resources available, learn some new skills and try them out on collections of leaves. We will then head outdoors for a guided walk on the reserve and an opportunity to practise identifying trees in the field.
Andrew Holtham is a tree enthusiast and the author of a Winter Guide to the Common Trees of Hertfordshire.
