Small Tales bring to to you a range of three unique workshops for young people this summer!!
Designed and conducted by experts each workshops aims at building essential skills among the modern learners. The world belongs to those who have the power to imagine and create and our workshops intend to do just that.
The participant numbers are is limited to 8 students per class to give individual attention and to bring out the best in them.
Workshop 1 : IMPROV STARS!
Welcome to the world of Improvisation. Improvisation or Improv is an art form that challenges to bring out one's creative intellect and instinct (verbally and non verbally) in unscripted scenarios. This six-day course is designed to build a child's creative abilities by encouraging their spontaneous impulses.
Through a lot of fun improv games & activities this course will teach the child how to
- construct engaging stories on the spot
- create comedy and
- play convincing characters.
This course will also focus on building the child's confidence listening abilities & intuition and will enhance any performance or presentation they give. All of these skills learnt will culminate in a short improvised performance on the last day.
Date: 15th June to 26th June (Every Tuesday Thursday & Saturday)
Time: 3 pm to 4 pm

About the facilitator :
Nasir Engineer is an improvisation coach director and facilitator. He is the founder of Imrov Comedy Bangalore and has conducted over 30 creative facilitation workshops that rest on the foundations of improv for corporate clients like Google Uber Philips Boston Consulting Group Decathlon Sony IBM etc.
He train companies in bridging unrecognized gaps between employees through teamwork. He also uses the techniques of Improv to bring about personal development on an individual and therefore a systemic level. Some of the other areas he also covers are listening creativity and its expressions stage presence teamwork and more. He also teaches storytelling techniques and the application of comedy in all forms of performance and writing.

Workshop 2 : THE SONG MAKERS
Welcome to the world of song writing. This three-day workshop is designed to equip the learners with tools to write their own lyrics for a song and also learn the art of composing their own music for it.
The workshop will culminate in a short performance/recording by the participants on the last day.
Date: 14th 16th and 18th June (Monday Wednesday & Friday)
Time: 3 pm to 4 pm
Age: 9 -12 years

Workshop 3 : JUST BEAT IT!
Welcome to the world of percussion. This three-day workshop will give a holistic understanding of beats and rhythms which in turn will help the learners make their own musical pieces.
The concept of rhythm and percussion instruments would be explained through the use of Body Percussions and Cups.
The workshop will culminate in a short performance/recording by the participants on the last day.
Date: 14th 16th and 18th June (Monday Wednesday & Friday)
Time: 3 pm to 4 pm
Age: 9 -12 years
About the facilitator :
Kevin Shah is a Music Educator Facilitator and Children’s Musician.
He develops Music based programs for school clinical and corporate settings and composes original Music for kids. He has been teaching for over 11 years now. He released India's first original song 'The Mask Song' in 2020 to raise awareness among kids to wear masks. His second project, a short film 'Every Single Breath' starring Salman Khan and produced by The Gateway School of Mumbai is scheduled to release in a few months.
He has been interviewed by Sunday Midday for conducting Virtual Music Lessons during the lockdown. One of his teaching videos was covered by Republic World and Hindustan Times among other newspapers. He has also been featured by Rolling Stones India and Radio Mirchi.
