Summer Sundaze is back for its third season! Every Sunday evening this summer, the Jamie Hurd Amphitheater will come alive with free live music from talented local artists. From 6-8 p.m., different bands will take the stage each week to get your toes tapping and hands clapping. Satisfy your sweet tooth this summer with our new lineup of food trucks! Each Sunday evening concert will feature a different truck serving up delicious desserts to complement the live music. Indulge in everything from ice cream sandwiches to funnel cakes while listening to your favorite local bands. These specialty food trucks have been handpicked to add something extra sweet to the 2024 concert series.
Get ready for fun with The Unfortunate Sons! This Des Moines based band covers hits and hidden gems primarily from the 1970s and 80s. The group features four singers who share lead vocal duties, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. Here are some artists/bands The Unfortunate Sons cover: Steely Dan, The Rolling Stones, Carole King, The Doobie Brothers, Blondie, Cheap Trick, Carly Simon, David Bowie, The Pretenders, Badfinger, Tom Petty, The Band, Joe Jackson, ELO, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, J Geils Band, The Go-Go’s, Elton John, Patti Smith, The Faces, and Grand Funk Railroad.
