The solstice is a way to reconnect with, and honor, the path that you’re on. It is a time to reflect on what you’ve accomplished and consider what you wish to accomplish in the future. This is also a time of heightened energy as we experience the longest day of the year – filling us with more sunlight than normal.Honoring the summer solstice with ceremony, ritual, or yoga can help us energize and harness the palpable energy of the sun. This creates intimacy with nature that has been all but lost in the modern world.
And while many rituals and traditions honoring the changing of the seasons have been lost in time, we can still create our own personal magic during these times.
Additionally, each year on Summer Solstice, we celebrate and acknowledge International Day of Yoga, so join us for a special candlelight class in honor of The Longest Day and this time of seasonal transition.
Please bring your own mat and a drink to class, and arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and set up your space. Class is appropriate for students of all levels, beginners welcome!!
